Amit is an expert with extensive experience in information retrieval, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. He has a solid technical background in fields such as interactive information retrieval, quantum-inspired models, natural language processing, machine learning, generative AI, blockchain, and Web3. At the same time, he has rich experience and outstanding capabilities in finance and risk management, education, entrepreneurial experience, and open source contributions.
Served as the academic chair of the School of Computer Science at the top institution in India - Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), leading the Software Innovation Lab to drive research engineering.
Postdoctoral research fellow in University of Surrey, leading product development and research in the fields of machine learning, generative artificial intelligence, decentralized finance (DeFi), and Web3.
Conducted doctoral research on interactive information retrieval in the Institute of Applied Computing at the University of Bedfordshire, UK. Developed quantum-inspired models (quantum-inspired deep neural networks) for interactive information retrieval (IR) tasks (contextual IR and multimodal search), and applied information foraging theory to formalize the behavior of searchers for interactive IR models.
Developed multilingual subtitling of movies using LLMs, text-to-image/-video generation using Diffusion/CLIP-based models.
Developed statistical machine learning models for risk stratification of prostate cancer progression at University College London.
Collaborated with the Department of Radiology at the University of Cambridge on multimodal deep learning approaches for longitudinal and Prostate MRI imaging data.
Received the Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN fellowship from the EU's "Horizon 2020" in recognition of his outstanding contributions in the field of interactive information retrieval.
As the co-founder and CTO of Quanonblocks LLP in New Delhi, India, led the technical team and built open-source decentralized applications for more than 10 international clients, generated $2 million in revenue.
Served as a quantitative researcher at Roci Finance in London, leading the risk management team of the Web3 credit platform to develop machine learning/deep learning models for mitigating recurrent fraud behaviours and risk in DeFi lending scenarios, and building ML models to analyse/integrate transactions from Multi-chain (Blockchains).
